The woman wearing sandals sitting on my left

Reason: She had an unfeasably long second toe.

Apparently it's a sign of intelligence.

(28.6.04 11:38)
eeuuuwwwwwww...

Though it makes a handy secondary pointing device...

(28.6.04 11:46)
And it would be good for prying grubs out of tree bark as well.

(28.6.04 11:48)
Maybe she'd got it caught in an escalator at an early age.

(28.6.04 11:51)
I didn't have you down as some kind of foot fascist, 'Booner.

(28.6.04 11:52)
pru: Depends on whether she looked the grub-eating type I suppose...

(28.6.04 11:59)
Just think 'Boon, any one of these people could be a 20sixer you haven't met yet, the repurcussions could be catastrophic.
But yes, long toes are a bit freaky, especially when people with the worst, mankiest feet in the world insist on wearing sandals.

(28.6.04 12:06)
If her hands were otherwise engaged, she could use it to pick her nose. And then wipe it on people surreptitiously. Possibly on the tube. Possibly on you. Have you checked your trousers for snot ?

(28.6.04 12:13)
lemonsquash - she must have been unfeasibly intelligent.
Pru - now you mention it she did have very large eyes...
Gamba - sorry to disappoint, but if I had it my way all people with long toes would be put in special toe camps, so the rest of society wouldn't have to look at their freakish digits.
MC - are you admitting to having freakishly long toes. Suddenly I'm not sure I do want to meet you.

(28.6.04 12:13)
WORT a ScANDAL. You should have known something was aFOOT when she didnt TOE the line whilst waiting for the train to arrive.

(28.6.04 13:00)
I do have some very long toes, but not the ones attached to my own feet. I collect dead celebrities toes, it's quite some hobby.

(28.6.04 13:08)
Which is the longest?

(28.6.04 13:41)
Hey! I have a longer second toe - it's not freakishly long though - just a bit longer than my big toe... *sniff*

(28.6.04 13:53)
You're going to be in trouble with my bloke, BBN, if you schlaag off people with ridiculous second toes in front of him. Mark my words.

(28.6.04 13:56)
Aw, shucks, I have unfeasibly long second toes, not like the pic, but about 8mm longer than the big toes. Lemon is probably right, it's a sign of intelligence. It may also probably be a sign of being well-endowed . . .
*thinks - will they buy it*
but I generally use it for hanging from trees and breaking into termite mounds

(28.6.04 14:01)
Kenny Everett's toe is an almighty 8cm long. He holds the record at the moment.

(28.6.04 14:15)
notsopink - I'll be bringing a ruler to the picnic and checking for freakishness.
queener - just so long as he doesn't wear sandals to the picnic we'll be fine. Unless he wears socks too. That's be ok.
Da_X - sounds handy. kind of which I had one now. I love those tasty termites.
MC - I'd always wondered if that rumour was true.

(28.6.04 14:17)
You don't want to see his socks. I promise you that.

(28.6.04 14:21)
Have they been specially customized to accomodate his huge toes?

(28.6.04 14:22)
Yes, with big holes in said area. And in other places, as well.

(28.6.04 17:38)
That looks a little like my foot (and sandal). Only a little, mind. Also my big toe isn't trying to pretend it doesn't know the other toes on my foot.

(28.6.04 18:16)
Maybe it was your foot doppelganger?

(28.6.04 18:22)
'Foot doppelganger' sounds like something you'd need a decent antibacterial cream for.

(28.6.04 18:49)
I absolutely hate feet with a passion. And my second toe is slightly longer than my big toe too.

(28.6.04 18:55)
You hate feet with a passion? But imagine what the world would be like without them. Foot pumps would be useless.

(28.6.04 20:05)
And pumice would have no reason to live!

(29.6.04 11:18)
Yes - and think how sad the world would be without suprisingly light rocks: very sad.

(3.7.04 00:30)
dr. scholls would become a plastic surgeon like everyone else

michele (13.11.04 11:37)
As a matter of fact, if you carefully watch toes length, it's the big toe which is a bit shorter...

(15.11.04 12:28)
Not on my feet it ain't!
